Because people are either on one or on both of these lists, and it's bad in either case. You only annoy those on both if they come across it on both lists, and they don't know to which to respond. Those who are only on one of the lists don't know about the other post, whether the problem has already been resolved, and the state of the discussion. This often results in duplicate replies (see Eric's on Flashcoders -- Aral replied already and you have resolved it yourself as you said on OSFlash, but he doesn't know because he read it on Flashcoders). Also, some people actually put effort into their replies (see Aral's post). It's a pity if they spend time on that when the same thing has been posted on the other list already. If posting to one list doesn't lead to a result within a reasonable time frame (more than a day), then you can consider posting to the other. Also, in this particular case, it's off-topic for OSFlash since it doesn't have anything to do with OS projects, but is specific to testing inside the Flash IDE.
