I've been spending some time looking and playing with most of the frameworks Regina talks about in the original thread. Here is the list that i've been working with:
- EnFlash http://www.asual.com/enflash/ - SMX components http://www.sourcesecure.co.uk/trac/bbc/smx/ (well, there are the BBC projects... any more examples?) - ISSY (was UI0) http://izzy.tigris.org (http://posttool.com/as2components/) - ActionStep http://www.actionstep.org In thinking about GUI's, i've been trying to put together a minimum requirement list - what are the functions a GUI _must_ have to be competitive/useful to Flash developers? Focus Handling? Ease of skinning via MC's (with all the trade offs that means)? Data binding? What set of widgets? Simple to use API (this is a bit contentious i know) - how about familiar programming model (ie more like v2 or v1 components)? Here are Regina's list of widgets - what is a _must_ have for a _minimal_ set of useful widgets? - CheckBox - RadioButton - ScrollBar - ComboBox - TextInput - Button - ToolTip Thanks! j -- Jos Yule Digital Hyakugei "Machines take me by surprise with great frequency." - Alan Turing _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
