Hi

The fluorine remoting gateway will stay as a remoting gateway only (and helpers to start working with flash remoting).

The "fluorine family" contains a projector library (http://fluorine.thesilentgroup.com/projector.htm) which exposes remoting functionality for desktop applications hosting flash (the host application becomes a "mini-webserver"). In this library .NET remoting / custom channel sink is used to grab the http post from the hosted flash movie.

Is your webserver an application hosting the asp.net runtime or something simpler?

...for example it is a webserver like Cassini?

Now...other functionality then the remoting gateway is not widely used...but others may have different overview on this or interest

Subject: [osflash] C# local AMF webserver

Hi all,

I created a little webserver in C#  doing AMF (AMF stuff based partially on Fluorine).

Runs as a windows-service or standalone app.

No need for IIS, ASP.NET etc. It just grabs the AMF from POST body and processes it.

You can even dump some  C# code in the webserver-folder (code is compiled on the fly and then executed) .

Guess it would run on Mono too.

Created it initially for logging to windows eventlog  and local database access.

So: would this be of interest to osflash?

If so, I clean up the code and check where to put it.

cc. to Zoli (Fluorine)

Zoli, maybe this could be part of Fluorine? I volunteer…

Greets,

Tim
