Well, you're right, I could have used the FLfile object, and I probably should.  When I started, i read about the undocumented runCommandLine() and then caught on to Guy's DLL.  Then I asked around to some Mac developers (Grant Skinner being one) and there's not a way to execute a commandline in Mac country from what I was told.

If this is WRONG, please let me know as I would LOVE to make it Mac compatible.  Everything else is doable on a mac, but executing a batch file or command line seems to be the stumbling block.

why do you use  buraks and guy's dll for this? can't you do this by using FLfile.runCommandLine(param)
http://www.asvguy.com/2004/07/undocumented_fl.html
and wouldn't that solve the winnt dependecy as well?

Thats odd - I hadn't seen that before.  Flasc DOES use Guy's DLL (flashguru), but I don't know why you'd get an error about "c:\FlashGuru\filesys.c" -

I'll check with guy,

Thanks,

John
