Flash/Actionscript Developer

 

R/GA is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Flash/Actionscript Developer. This position will act as a developer on a range of projects.  The role is scripting orientated working together with the Design Team and Interaction Architects.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Scripting of Flash Interfaces and Applications in AS 2.0
  • Maintenance of ongoing projects
  • Documentation of work

 

Knowledge

 

  • At least three years work experience in the web development / IT sector
  • Good understanding of Object Orientated development and design.
  • A proactive, quality orientated approach to development
  • Experienced in working in medium to large sized teams in a well-structured and disciplined manner, e.g. test-driven development, version-control and deployment knowledge is helpful.
  • Expert knowledge of OO Actionscript

 

Skills

 

  • The ability to develop to given standards in a fast paced environment without much supervision
  • Customer focus with a high degree of professionalism
  • Experience in Multilingual / Localised Flash applications
  • Experience in developing applications in Flash/Actionscript
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and practices
  • Experience in Server / Flash User Interface Interaction (XML/Database)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to adapt to a changing work environment and structure

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA Degree – Preferably in Computer Science

  • Demonstrate an active awareness and passion for software development
  • A desire to share knowledge and learn from others
