Hi Marcello,

I would definitly look into jabber.. Those API's your talking give you 
the ability to hook into a running MSN instance..

* There's a jabber gateway available for coldfusion (not OS though)
* I think the jabberserver  supports gateways to the MSN protocol as we 
speak.. (i think, i'm not 100% sure about this)
* Jabber (or XMPP) is a pure XML protocol ..
