I can see how you might want to obfuscate some open-source code to reduce its size and possibly optimize it for speed if the obfuscator is smart enough to inline, etc. You would be providing your source code of course, plus an optimized swf file. I guess with most flash projects, the size of the assets makes this pretty pointless though it would be more important with mobile flash.
But still, it is a funny question :) Is there an open-source flash obfuscator out there I wonder?
