Thanks so much for your advice Nicolas & Matthias. Personally, I'm really happy to have learnt this.
So to sum up: If I have Flash IDE assets I'll stick the preloader at the front of the FLA, the assets at the end, and my Classes in the middle. If it's pure code just compile it twice like Nicolas said. Too easy! Thanks again.
