To be honest, Ralf, I think you've fallen foul of the normal Gmail issue - which is that if you're the first poster on a thread, it'll be in your Sent Mail folder, but won't appear in your Inbox until someone replies to it.
For instance, there are two copies of your email about the job in Australia on the list - I assume you posted the first one, didn't see it in your Inbox and then posted again. It's something I've seen on three or four mailing lists recently - repeated posts from individuals who seem to believe their mail hasn't arrived - and it's always from Gmail. :-) I think the answer is - trust in Gmail.
