I was afraid you would start asking in-depth questions ;) Now I will
have to go and try out the Haxe js output :P.

Before I do that, let's make a general remark (and again, this is a
thought, no facts.). Principally I do not like the idea to code with an
'extra' in-between language like haxe and afterwards have that compiled
to regular javascript. Although coding strictly does have it's
advantages I'm sure, it just doesn't feel comfortable for me personally.
To make it even more complicated, if I see lot's of people using haxe
and using it in live situations, I will have no problems using it as
well. But until that day comes (at least in my surroundings) It feels
like adding too much of a hassle to the simplicity of js. Why learn the
specific haxe syntax if all the libraries and people around you are
still coding regular js?

I realize that by me not having seen haxe work before, you can't put
much of a value on my opinion, but if I get the chance soon to try it
out, I will and let you know if my hunches are still standing or that
I'm never going to use anything else then haxe again :)

That said, I do like the fact that we now have the possiblity of using
this new Ide which can do things with JS I haven't seen before. So I'm
gonna have a quick look at that first :)

Cheers,

Ben

Did you have a look at the haXe JS output ? It looks like really clear
written JS code. It's even correctly indented :) I'm not sure what
exactly you mean by "loosing control", and which additional control you
would like to have on the JS source, but maybe you could give me some
more infos ?

Best,
Nicolas
