Hi,
I've started using Flash Remoting with PHP from PHPObject (very useful
one btw) and used it through several versions. But then at one moment
I've switched to AMFPHP and never wanted to roll back.
Some of AMFPHP advantages are:
- Auto-generated Actionscript (very useful for quick start);
- Service browser: tells you everything about available service via
browser;
- Good documentation and examples;
- Pretty frequent updates (for example, PHP Object last update was in
2005, AMFPHP -- in 2006);
- More general language interface, which means you can keep using your
amfphp-remoting-related Actionscripts it decide to adopt your app to
another server platform (which has its own implementation of remoting.
e.g. excellent Fluorine Remoting for .NET).
Happy Remoting!
