also, someone asked off list about executing shell scripts: Yes, if you download the iTunes.zip, George has included all source files for examples. He's actually calling shell scripts to run iTunes from what I remember him telling me.
Also, you can look at Flasc's Compiler.as for a sample of how I built the AppleScript command in Flasc and pass it as a string to FlappleScript. It might not be the most elegant way to do it, but it works ;)
