Honestly, I didnt answer because I think (and I dont mean to offend anyone) the poll is silly. The spirit in which it was done was excellent, and I dont mean to be mean, but that is honestly what I thought when I heard the idea.
I think there is only one important feature and it was discussed on this list already a lot. That is supporting real time error detection. Its the one thing that makes this task hard and it is 90% of the work. The other features are relatively trivial and I would be happy if it had almost nothing else in terms of features. (of course it would need to support AS3 and haXe). Particularly as an eclipse plugin, most of the other features are almost designed for you by being an eclipse based product. The other thing is, as a product designer, I dont much like the idea of designing whole programs by poll. I think anyone undertaking this project, with so many similar thing to look at (FDT, FlexBuilder, JDT, etc) any substantive subset of any of these would be great. In any case, I dont think you should assume that because people didnt respond to the poll (and by the way I dont even know where it is) that that means people dont care. I think a greater reflection of peoples feelings is the activity on the thread.
