Hello Martin,

Sorry for my ingenuity but what is groovy and how does it relate to Java?

Marcelo.

I'm also very interested on resources about JBoss's Hibernate and OpenAMF integration. Currently I'm using CakePHP which is a Ruby-On-Rails-like framework for PHP, but I find the lack of VO mapping features frustrating (PHP is not strong on OOP you know). Cake, however, is a very poweful and rad framework, I wonder if there's something like that for Java?

Try to search for examples or tutorials that combine Spring and Hibernate:

Those two really go the right way these days.

Hi,

on the RIA's and websites i've made i've used PHP with MySQL, AMFPHP,
and PHPThumb for image manipulation. For the current project i'm using
this architecture, but i am thinking on changing it to
Java+Hybernate+openAMF. I am comfortable with Java, but not with
Hybernate and openAMF (I'm currently acquiring knowledge on these
subjects). I am thinking on rewriting my current server-side code to
this solution, but hey.... i do not want to reinvent the wheel :P. And
to be honest, i currently do not have time for much reading. :|  Does
anyone used this kind of architecture, and have source-code that can
distribute?

I am also a bit bored with openAMF for not having the same roles system
AMFPHP has. I was thinking on rewriting the server side code without
touching the actionscript code, but it seems that it won't be possible :|

Thanks,

João Saleiro
