I have to repectfully disagree here. Adobe was *very* helpful with the FC64 project (hosted on OSFlash) in the past, and we didn't even need to ask. One of a few examples: http://osflash.org/pipermail/fc64_osflash.org/2006-October/000177.html (plus they are open about stuff they are working on which is not even publicly announced yet. nudge nudge.) Of course, i would guess this is only the case for projects that do not potentially pose a direct threat to their products, as I remember talking to Adobe officials in person about DENG, where i was told that DENG is a potential threat (to Flex), which i understand in a way, but which i find a bit shortsighted nevertheless. (Sorry about the long sentence. I'm german).
