Adobe is opening up an API such that end users can write their own dynamic libraries which will be loaded by the flash plugin, in order to provide support for:
* Sound
* HTTPS/SSL
* Internationalization (?)

They are providing a sample file which uses OSS, OpenSSL, and ICU. I think they want it such that other devlopers can add support for other libraries?
Either way, any more openness is good news for us!
