Has anyone been able to use it succesfully?  If so, could you let me know your configuration?

wow, on the Mac, I had to download the latest debug version of the player, but even then, it didn't work.  I created a Panel, but couldn't move it and the title wasn't set.

I tried setting permissions without luck either.

Is it that the mac player just sucks horribly??  Lately, we've had major issues getting things working right - even Xray (flex2 version) wasn't loading correctly on the Mac player.  You can't even see the MenuBar top/left at all.

I'll do some digging/testing - sorry to the mac folks, I don't know why the player should be such a royal pain in the a**

man, I wonder how many people no are having the same issue ;(  I wonder if it's a permissions issue by chance?  can you try giving the SWF permissions on your drive and test?

PS> I've just recorded the demo video and am compressing right now.  I'll post link shortly

Hi John

I've downloaded and doesn't work, for me.

I'm using the last FP version, just tried to drag using SHIFT a component, and didn't work, and the menu doesn't load the configuration too.

So, what could be?

Man go to beach, take a sun, forget about this hehe

Some have written that they can create components on stage, but can't move them.  I really need to do a video to show it works, but it's very similar to Flex builder.  Let's say you create a Panel - drag it from it's border to move it around or it's header.  If you wanted to "nest" it into another container (say, another panel or canvas), click in the middle of the component or hold SHIFT+LMouse to drag it.

You should see a white/alpha box which means you're try to nest in a different parent somewhere.  If you mouse over a container and still see a red "x", then move out and move in again.  Sometimes it doesn't pick up on the dragEnter event.

anyway, I apologize for any confusion, I'll put out a video sometime today which will cover how to use it.  Doing drag/drop opperations in Flex2 isn't as simple as it used to be, but the DragManager is awesome.  Let's just say, it's fairly complex how it's handled in Flexible ;)
