FYI
--- Begin Message ---Hi there,i just finished a Red5 0.6rc1 package for Debian / Ubuntu. Get it from http://dl.fancycode.com/red5/debian/0.6rc1/red5_0.6rc1-1_i386.deb Use /etc/init.d/red5 start|stop to control the server. Also you can set you JAVA_HOME and CLASSPATH for red5 in /etc/default/red5. NOTE: logging is still unconfigured per default. Thus any output on stdout and stderr is fed to /dev/null. WARNING: Red5 _requires_ java 1.5!!! Java: java version "1.5.0_06" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_06-b05) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_06-b05, mixed mode, sharing) To easily get java 1.5 on Ubuntu see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Java for help. Eg: Ubuntu 6.06 # apt-get install sun-java5-bin Best regards, Simon ps: all the stuff required to rebuild this package is available at http://dl.fancycode.com/red5/debian/0.6rc1/. -- Simon Eisenmann [ mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ] [ struktur AG | Kronenstraße 22a | D-70173 Stuttgart ] [ T. +49.711.896656.68 | F.+49.711.89665610 ] [ http://www.struktur.de | mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ]
