I wrote a small server in Lisp that catches those debug messages and sends them
to standard-output. It's launched from Emacs as a subprocess and all output
goes straight into an Emacs buffer. The highlighting is a simple function that
is called when that buffer is created.
If xray can send it's output to a console, then you should be able to use in
the same way.
