Thanks Glen,

Admittedly I was only searching for "Service", and I didn't try "-web".
Probably should have googled "flash remoting". Like I said, I'm a noob to
this.

I also just found out from the guy who wrote AMF.NET that you have to
download the remoting classes from here,
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashremoting/downloads/components/#flr_fl8.
Why can't Macromedia, ah-hum, Adobe make anything easy?

Thanks for the info.

 import mx.remoting.Service;

You will need the Flash Remoting "package" installed as this is not
included with the Flash IDE

There are different versions for MX & MX2004 onwards (AS1 & AS2)

Here is the home page with lots of useful articles.

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashremoting/

This specifically deals with ASP / .NET

I have not read it as I am a PHP guy.

Google is your friend.

I was trying to follow the how to over at the

The
following code is excerpted from that page:

var service:Service =
 new Service(
     'http://www.openmymind.net/gateway.aspx',
     null,
     'Company.Security.User, Company');

Anybody got any ideas as to where or what this "Service" class is? I
should
probably also mention that I am a noob to remoting, but a vet to RIA
development.

Thanks,

Robert
