I really dont know, i guess so at some point. I've only just got projects where they will accept flash 8, and that wasnt an easy sell. I still have some big projects that are 7 only and need maintaining so my focus is on AS2 and creating the tools I want to make that easier. I dont know how far advanced is the AS3 grammar that David Holroyd is working on for his meta-as project http://www.badgers-in-foil.co.uk/projects/metaas/ Or if the AS3 model it generates is suitable for developing dev tools. Maybe he can tell us, or maybe you can investigate :) A lot of the work that is being done could be re-used to some degree for AS3 like the viewer, logger, classpath and build management. You're more than welcome to help out and try to help us keep a clean seperation between the tools and the language so that AS3 support can move in parallel with the AS2. It wouldnt be too hard to get a basic AS3 setup with simple editing and building because they dont rely on the language model and there is a command line compiler. Also I know there are already some issues concerning multiple project natures and deciding which editor to open because an .as file can be as2 or as3. So there is plenty to think about, I know youre busy as im sure we all are but any contributions are warmly welcome. martin _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
