sure sure, I was just getting a strong rails vibe off the video, and
that made me think that it would be nice to have all the basic stuff
in there already, like an html template (might as well throw in
plugin detection at that point, right?) and maybe even a nice setup
for StateManager or SWFAddress, with that stuff built into the main
application class.

Actually, adding haxe support will be trivial - just another rake
task.
The foundation of AsProject actually has nothing to do with
ActionScript or language, basically, it's just a template resolver
that will copy directories full of content and run Ruby erb against
them.
The whole thing is easily extensible and can support haxe as well
as swfobject templates. At this point, we just wanted to get it
released so that we could see if people thought it was valuable and
get some help prioritizing next steps.
For us, the next step is actually FCSH support so that AS3
development can be made more painless, after that, we're open to
suggestions.
One of the great things about how the templating engine works, is
that when it's looking for project templates, it will check your
user home first, so if you create new template directories they
will be made available by name... We're considering options to make
distribution of those templates easier, but as usual, we're running
short on time.
Thanks,
Luke Bayes
