Hello All,

I am new here, nice to know you all. My name is Kasidit. I am a computer
engineering student from National University of Singapore. I was hoping that
some kind soul could enlighten me on the following issue.

I need to do a term project which requires getting the raw audio data from the
microphone – soundmix.computespectrum() doesn’t work on Microphone class or
dynamically generated sound.

As described in Flashbrighton site -
http://www.flashbrighton.org/wordpress/?p=9, I have gone through the process of
loading a dynamically generated sound as swf bytearray so that I can use
.computespectrum() to get the raw data. However, I do not know how to create a
swf byte array from the microphone. It seems that flash only starts to record
the microphone once it is published to the FMS. Pls correct me if I am wrong.

Is there a way to work around this? I have been looking at the tools listed on
the tool-page but I am not sure which one I should start on. Can I create a new
C++ library using one of those tools to do this directly? Your help will be
greatly appreciated

Regards,
Kasidit
