Hi, There are so many places I could post this but I don't know where to start. (Flex, Eclipse, Eclipse WTP, FlexToAnt) I have been following this:
http://cfsilence.com/blog/client/index.cfm/2007/3/26/Setting-Up-Eclipse-For-Flex-2 I have installed Flex 2 SDK: http://www.adobe.com/products/flex/downloads/ I have downloaded and installed: Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers from: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ I have then downloaded and installed the web tools platform: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/webtools/downloads/drops/R2.0/R-2.0-200706260303/wtp-all-in-one-sdk-R-2.0-200706260303-win32.zip I have read: How do I install WTP? @ http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/faq/main.php#about_6 and I know that everything is installed correctly. I have also downloaded and installed FlexToAnt. I am getting the following error message when running FlexToAnt: Buildfile: C:\Documents and Settings\adam\workspace\test\build.xml compile: [mxmlc] "C:\Program Files\flex\bin\mxmlc.exe" "C:\Documents and Settings\adam\workspace\test\src\Main.as" -as3 -strict -output "C:\Documents and Settings\adam\workspace\test\build\HelloAS3.swf" [mxmlc] Loading configuration file C:\Program Files\flex\frameworks\flex-config.xml [mxmlc] Error: unable to open 'C:\Documents and Settings\adam\workspace\test\src\Main.as' [mxmlc] Use 'mxmlc -help' for information about using the command line. BUILD SUCCESSFUL Total time: 3 seconds I am also having problems viewing .as files within eclipse??? Whilst trying to create an actionscript file within eclipse (After installing everything) I use file->new file then I give it a name. When I add .as to the end of the file name flash opens and the file is shown in Flash 8, not Eclipse! The file appears within the package in Eclipse but I could only access it within Flash??? I then changed the file settings on what software opens .as files to eclipse. I then tried to open .as files within eclipse nothing is displayed?? Eclipse starts and I can move through the eclipse interface but there is no .as file??? When I then come to run the AntToFlex file the error message appears above and the following error appears: Resource '/test/main.as' does not exist. I know that it does exist :( Can anyone help me please. Sorry for the long post, I work with 6 other web developers who are not willing to learn the power of flex.
