Ok, so I was just looking for the wrong software (flex is what I was searching for).

Thank you for the tour ;)

Now I'm looking some flex guides to understand it's limit without the adobe and java softwares installed on the server.
You don't have to have extra software running on the server if you are only hosting SWF files created by Flex (or Flash).

If you want to interact with server side code, you may want to look at "Remoting" http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=flash+remoting&btnG=Search&meta=

If you want to stream media look at Red5 or Flash Media Server. Red5 is free and Java based.

Adobe do have extra stuff that can run on the server, but it is not vital and is expensive.

p.s. I also hate actionscript's syntax.
Java is thousands times better.
ActionScript 3 has similar syntax to Java, with much stricter data typing so it runs about 10 times faster than ActionScript 2. It's not as fast as Java, but people are doing realtime 3D and audio with it now, so it is still worth considering and easy to pick-up if you have done a few languages.

Hope this helps...
