thanks for your answers. I decided to stay with the code i posted and just simulate the animation when the upload test is in progress . So now i just have to find the best size for each data chunk for upload/download to create a more accurate test .
Actually for latency test im downloading 10 times a simple txt file of 10 bytes , then for download test an image of 250 kb (2 times) and for upload test 100 kb using loadvars(2 times).
