.FLVs are usually kept as external files to the .swf - if they are
brought in, they are no longer .flvs, but media within the .swf.

Subject: [osflash] finding .flv in .swf

I am trying to find a .flv in a .swf, I have been using swfdump but it
does not take into account that a "placeholder" swf can call other swfs,
that actually have the video frame, so it will be a false negative.

Does anyone know how to take a swf, and extract .flv's from it? other
than playing it and sniffing on network?
