Hi all, I am unaware of any mailing lists; however I have found help in two fora, i.e., actionscript.org and flexdeveloper.eu Also, I have found some helpful answers from time to time in stackoverflow.com (tags flash, flex, actionscript-3).
These have worked for me, and my work involves more back-end. I hope they are also suitable for everyone. :) You can also try to join a local adobe group and participate in the meetings, or organise one for you area and exchange knowledge! See http://groups.adobe.com/pages/home I hope I was helpful.
