Hi Eric, I don't know what you want me to do with the osgdb_ImageIO.cpp submission, its just a single file, no build support. Are you expecting me to guess what the build support should be to get it to compile on platform I don't have? This would almost certainly break the build so its not something that I'm about to do.
I'd appreciate it if you can have a bash at putting together a CMakeLists.txt file for the plugin, and any CMakeModules/FindImageIO.cmake script that would be needed to find this dependency as to only enable the build on machines that have it available.
