Yep, I can confirm that with the src/osgViewer/CompositeViewer.cpp in
SVN right now, "osgpick --CompositeViewer cow.osg" reproduces the
problem for me. If I replace it with the CompositeViewer.cpp which I
sent you, it's fixed.
