Rather than rely on implicit destruction order I've experimented with
added a NullStream subclass from std::ostream:

    NullStream():
        std::ostream(new NullStreamBuffer) {}

    virtual ~NullStream()
    {
        delete rdbuf();
        rdbuf(0);
    }
};

Could you please try this solution out to see if it gets around the
memory leak warnings.  The changed Notify.cpp is attached.
