The stable release tags are not meant to be modified, as otherwise it isn't a true representation of that release. If we modify it then the release then it becomes 2.6.2, but you can't do this via the tags - the system is that you patch the OpenSceneGraph-2.6 branch, test this, then once you are ready create the 2.6.x off this. Do you have write permission to the branches part of the svn repository?
