It would be better to just use osgt and osgb to select the text and
binary version of the new .osg format.  This would make things a bit
clear and avoid the need for the -e osg to preload the osg plugin.

The osg2 name is probably not something to carry over as it could
confuse users about the OSG version rather than the ascii format
version.  As we are now ramping up for OSG-3.0 one might even want to
start thinking in terms of the new format being tied to osg3 rather
than osg2, but it'll probably be easier just to drop the number
complete and just talk about the new native file formats.
