Having just spent a couple of days trying to track down a problem with OpenThreads on 2.8.2 and later 2.8.3, I came upon the atttached submission which I suppose went into the 2.9.* code, and appears to resolve my problem.

By the way, thanks to everyone who works on OSG for your fantastic technology! I have been using it for just over a year now and am constantly impressed by it.
