I guess I wasn't aware of (or maybe just didn't consider) the exact purpose of the supportsResize trait. Given your explanation, I'd agree.

The problem I'm trying to fix is that some window managers (like Metacity) are ignoring the MWM hint that should be disabling the resize decorations. When I get a chance I'll see if there isn't some other way to make them behave.
