Hi robert,

Most of these submissions were previously sent on this forum but were not
merged.

I've recently "cleaned up" and updated my local OSG version, so I've created
pull requests on GitHub for these reasons :

- as a reminder for each separate feature I've added to my local branch : on
git it's easy to maintain several branches with small differences, so I can
have one branch for each modificationI make

- you can easily look at the modified code to see if the submission is
interesting for the whole OSG or not

- these submissions can easily be merged by any git user. So if a submission is
not interesting for the whole OSG community, but someone want to use it, he can
simply merge one submission branch with his code

It was a little hard for me to start working with Git, but since I've started,
I think this is the best and easier way to manage submissions. Maybe try to
talk with the osgEarth team about that.

I don't have the time right now, but have a look to the modified code (on the
github.com links I've provided you can show the diffs) and let me know which
features you plan to merge, so I'll make you sources packages merged with the
last trunk revision.

Thank you!

Cheers,
Aurelien
