I suspect it'll be highly platform specific, something we've seen in
the past that I'll optimize code under Linux and see little cost with
heap allocations and then users under Windows will see a cost for
something that is negligible under Linux.

In our case (MSVC 2008) whole allocations count from render thread is 778638 and 259494 (33%) came from osgUtil::StateGraph::prune, after this fix there is no more allocations from
osgUtil::StateGraph::prune.
