Sorry for the slow response.  Just start a submissions catch up now.

I use NVidia under Linux and haven't seen problems so I presume this
is a Windows specific issue.  When adding a file ending I think we
should add a platform specific method - so '\r\n' under Windows '\n'
elsewhere.  I thought the OSG had an entry for this but can't spot one
in my quick grep through the sources.
