I asked a similar question in May (subject "controlling ordering"). The suggestion I liked best was to create a new RenderBin that didn't do any sorting, and I'd get things in a traversal ordering. (Though in your example, we would be after a,d,c,b, I think.)
Then when I looked into it, I found that the RenderBin didn't really do any sorting, anyway. The problem was that the Cull traversal does some grouping (into RenderBins), and one of the things I'd been hoping to do was get rid of our own CullVisitor. So I never really got anywhere new. I don't think we'd want to assign render bin numbers in our situation, but if it works for you, it does sound like an easy fix. andy ________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steven R Woolsey Sent: Tuesday, July 31, 2007 9:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [osg-users] Graph Rendering Traversal order Paul, Thanks. It appears to be working. I didn't realize the RenderBins could go that high. I appreciate the information. Steve
