For example, you can render the two images side-by-side and output them using two outputs of your normal GeForce (as with dual head config). Then the converter produces interleaved sequential stereo signal including the stereo sync for you. This kind of setup has the advantage that you can upgrade/swap the graphic card much more often and a lot cheaper than with a Quadro (700-800 USD for a high-end GeForce vs. 3000-4000 USD for a comparable Quadro ...), on the other hand the converter is not exactly cheap neither. One such device is xpo.2pa by Cyviz (http://www.cyviz.no/converters.htm) - - it takes passive stereo (two signals) and produces active stereo (one sequential signal). No idea about the cost, though. We have two xpo.2s (active to passive conversion) from them for driving a projection wall and it works very well.
