Hi Dave, I develop almost exclusively under Linux and don't see any problems on exit. I doubt you are missing any setting, but rather would suspect a problem with the OpenGL driver or GLX/X11/Window manager.
What Linux distribution/hardware/drivers are you using? I'm currently using Suse 10.0, Dual core Althon 64, Dual 7800GT. Robert.
