I've looked into using the 3dconnexion Space Navigator with OSG apps in the past. I was somewhat surprised to discover that 3dconnexion doesn't offer a consistent SDK API across all platforms -- the Mac SDK and Windows SDK have entirely different APIs, forcing the app to contain platform-specific code for interfacing with the device.
