OpenSuSE Linux 11.0, VPB rev 953, OSG 2.8.0 and GDAL 1.6.0.  I'm not
sure how it's working for you if you're using the version of VPB that
checks extensions.  Did you modify GDAL to report the .dt? file
extensions?
