Hi Timm, You really need to provide more information about what osgdem options you are using. It's normally trivial to generate databases with elevations, and to osgdem it doesn't make any difference whether its geocentric or flat earth, it works fine for both, and the majority of VirtualPlanetBuilder users will be doing just this.
