With some fiddling of the FT headers I got the number of warnings in the FT Win64 build down to a plausible set and the osg text example works fine under Win64. If anyone is interested I can send the changed FT header file.
It would probably be even better to submit the changes upstream (to the FreeType project itself). FreeType probably compiles fine on Linux 64-bit, but if there are problems compiling it under Windows 64-bit, then I expect they'd like to know and especially to get the fixes for future releases.
In any case, yes it would be nice to post the modifications here as a first step.
