Hi All, Today hasn't turned out how I expected it, the rest of the week testing didn't pick out any awkard bugs that couldn't be fixed quickly so today I was expecting today to just be a case of tidying up the docs and admin side for the release. Instead I've been chasing up bugs that have proven awkward to characterize and put to bed. In digging into the .zip regression I've unconvered some bugs in the .osgx and .osgt serialization and some oddities in the osgDB::Archive/osgarchive program that all require further investigation and resolution. It's well into the evening here in Scotland so I'll have to wrap up and head offline and come back to these issues tomorrow.
Testing still need to march on though, so I've tagged 3.0.0-rc4, changes since 3.0.0-rc3 are below. The source to rc4 can be grabbed from: source package : http://www.openscenegraph.org/downloads/developer_releases/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.0-rc4.zip svn tag: svn co http://www.openscenegraph.org/svn/osg/OpenSceneGraph/tags/OpenSceneGraph-3.0.0-rc4 OpenSceneGraph My expectation of tagging the final 3.0.0 tomorrow is now rather lower, which puts a bit of pressure when to roll it out and whether we can accept a couple of unresolved bugs to be included with the release. I have to get 3.0.0 soon as next Tuesday I head away on a family holiday and have two children's birthday parties to help host this weekend so I'll be juggling the 3.0.0 dev work with the rest of my life before I head away. I also don't want 3.0.0 to slip till after my trip as I'll be doing paid work right away so won't have a window of opportunity to do a release for a while, so it's very much a case of get the release out now or much later. If you do spot problems with the rc4 could you have a bash at resolving them so that tomorrow morning I can get on and review the required changes checked into the OSG-3.0 branch. Thanks, Robert. _______________________________________________ osg-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openscenegraph.org/listinfo.cgi/osg-users-openscenegraph.org
