Yeah, I realize that, as I said before, the first wish was easier said then 
done and alluded to its problematic possibilities.

I am still wondering if the second half contains the solution. I am not sure if 
you read after the table, but where I am seeing what appears to be an issue & 
inconsistency is the _gw->getEventQueue()->keyPress( value ); call (does not 
pass the unmodified key) within keyPressEvent() in osgQt\GraphicsWindowQt.cpp. 
I see the equivalent method in osgViewer\GraphicsWindowWin32.cpp passes through 
the unmodified key.
