Hi Kim,

I wrote PreciptitationEffect for a driving simulator quite a few years
ago and the sizes of the tiles and speeds that it's tailored to work
best at.  It will be the speed of movement that is likely to make the
effect look less effective rather than scale.

I have tried experimenting with flight simulator type speeds for the
effect but expect that the sizes of the tiles and shaders will be need
to tweaking to handle how quickly an aircraft moves.
