Hi All,

I am all ready to tag the 3.1.9 dev release now, but really need some
feedback on how well things are compiling and running under various
platforms. I need feedback soon though as I'll be making the release
in the next two hours.

The reason for my time limit is tomorrow I head off for a family
holiday for two weeks, it's a super early start so I'll be packing
today, this leaves me little time for making the release.

Once I'm back from my holiday I'll merge pending submissions and get a
3.1.10 dev release out, then the will immediately more on to tagging
the 3.2.0 release candidate 1. As this gets tests and bedded down
I'll expect a few more release candidates and then the final 3.2
release for the end of the month.

Feature wise 3.1.9 is pretty well it for the 3.2, the focus will now
change to bug fixes and any modest clean ups. New features that have
missed the current window will go into the 3.3.x dev series. I'll
make sure 3.4 doesn't end up being two years after the 3.2 release, as
this current release is WAAAAAY over due.

I mention all this to give the current testing some clarity and
urgency. Thanks in advance for all the testing and feedback you can
provide, it's very important and useful work :-)

Robert.
