Hi All,

I have gone ahead and made the 3.2 branch, and first 3.2.0 release
candidate, you'll now see the following on the openscenegraph.org stable
release page:

We are now testing OpenSceneGraph-3.2 release candidate 1 in preparation
for upcoming 3.2 stable release due at the end of July. The more testing
that the community can provide, across as many platforms and applications
as possible the better the final stable release will be so we encourage
users to try out this release candidate and provide feedback on how well it
works for you and your applications via the osg-users mailing list/forum.

This means I'm now officially in feature freeze, stable release mode, so
looking out for bugs and build problems and how best to address them. I
only have Kubuntu Linux systems here to test against so will need the
community to help out with testing against the full range of platforms and
GL/GLES versions that we support. As any problems are highlighted and
resolved I'll make further release candidates until we as community feel
that 3.2.0 is ready to go. Reports from the community about the OSG
compiling and working on your platform are as important as failures
at gauging how well we are converging to final 3.2.0 stable release, so
please provide feedback good and bad.

Please remember we are now in feature freeze so I will not be checking in
any new last minute feature additions, new features or significant
revisions will go into 3.3.x development series and be rolled in to the 3.4
stable release when it happens. I have updated the version numbers of
svn/trunk to 3.3.0 version to signify that this is where future new
features will go, but all my efforts for the next weeks will be on the
OpenSceneGraph-3.2 branch which will be where the release candidates and
final 3.2.0 release will be made from. Merging new features will happen
once 3.2.0 is out the door, for now the only changes that will make it into
svn/trunk will be bug and build fixes to the 3.2 branch.

Thanks in advance for all the testing and debugging and assistance with
making 3.2.

Cheers,
Robert.
